How to use Unzip files

Look inside a ZIP and take out the files you need, on a computer or phone without installing anything. See the file list with sizes, preview files, and download one at a time or everything at once. In Chrome and Edge you can also extract everything straight into a folder you choose.

Unzip files: common questions

Can I open a password-protected ZIP?

No. Encrypted archives can't be opened in the browser; use 7-Zip or your system's unzip tool instead.

Does it open RAR or 7z files?

No, only ZIP files using the standard Deflate or Store methods. For RAR and 7z, use a desktop app like 7-Zip.

How do I unzip a file on my phone?

Open this page in your phone's browser, choose the ZIP from your downloads, and tap Download next to the files you need.
