Epoch converter

Unix timestamps to dates and back.

Files never leave your device

How to use Epoch converter

Read the timestamps in logs, databases and API responses as real dates, or turn a date into a timestamp. Auto mode reads 10-digit values as seconds and 13-digit values as milliseconds. Results show in UTC and your own time zone, such as Bangladesh time (UTC+6), along with how long ago it was.

  1. 1

Paste a Unix timestamp under Timestamp → date.

  2. 2

Leave the unit on Auto or pick seconds, milliseconds, micros or nanos.

  3. 3

Read the date in UTC, local time and relative time.

  4. 4

To go the other way, pick a date and time under Date → timestamp and copy the seconds or ms.

Epoch converter: common questions

What is a Unix timestamp?

It is the number of seconds since 1 January 1970, 00:00 UTC. Many systems use milliseconds instead, which is why some timestamps have 13 digits.

How do I convert a timestamp to Bangladesh time?

Paste it in; the local time row uses your device's time zone, which in Bangladesh is UTC+6. You can also switch the date input between Local and UTC.

How do I get the current epoch time?

The current Unix time is shown at the top and ticks live. Click Copy seconds or Copy ms to grab it.
