How to use Edit metadata
PDF files carry hidden details like a title, the author's name and the app that made them. See what your file says, fix a wrong title before sending it, or clear personal details. Empty fields are removed from the file.

Drop your PDF to read its current metadata.

Edit Title, Author, Subject, Keywords, Creator or Producer.

Leave a field empty, or click Clear all, to remove details.

Click Save PDF, then Download PDF.
Edit metadata: common questions
How do I change the title of a PDF?
Type the new text in the Title field and save. This is the name many PDF readers and browser tabs show, which can differ from the file name.
How do I remove the author name from a PDF?
Clear the Author field, or click Clear all to empty every field, then save. Empty fields are removed from the file.
Can I change the creation date?
No. The created and last modified dates are shown for reference only. The modified date is updated to now when you save.
