Files never leave your device

How to use Bijoy → Unicode

If Bangla text turns into gibberish like “Avwg evsjvq Mvb MvB” when you paste it into Facebook, Gmail or Google Docs, it was typed in Bijoy with a SutonnyMJ font. Paste it here and you get real Unicode Bangla that reads correctly everywhere, on any phone or computer. The converted text appears as you type, and nothing leaves your browser.

  1. 1

Paste your Bijoy text into the Bijoy text (SutonnyMJ) box, or click Open .txt file.

  2. 2

Read the Unicode Bangla that appears in the right-hand box as you type.

  3. 3

Click Copy output, or Download .txt to save it as a file.

Bijoy → Unicode: common questions

Why does my Bangla text show as “Avwg”?

Bijoy stores Bangla letters in English character slots and relies on a SutonnyMJ font to draw them. Without that font, or on the web, you see the raw English letters, so the text needs converting to Unicode.

Can I convert a Word or PDF file written in Bijoy?

Copy the text out of the Word file or PDF and paste it into the Bijoy box. The tool works on pasted text and .txt files; it does not open .docx or PDF files directly.

Is the Bijoy to Unicode converter free?

Yes, completely free with no sign-up and no length limit. Conversion happens in your browser, so even long official documents are never uploaded.
