How to use Unicode → Bijoy
Many presses, DTP shops and older design setups in Bangladesh still work with Bijoy and SutonnyMJ instead of Unicode. Type or paste Unicode Bangla here and copy out Bijoy text you can drop into Word, InDesign or Photoshop. The output looks garbled on screen until you set the font to SutonnyMJ or another Bijoy font, which is expected.
- 1
Type or paste Unicode Bangla into the Unicode Bangla box, or click Open .txt file.
- 2
Click Copy output, or Download .txt.
- 3
Paste it into your document and set the font to SutonnyMJ.
Unicode → Bijoy: common questions
Why does the Bijoy output look like English gibberish?
Bijoy text is made of English characters that only look like Bangla in a Bijoy font. Paste it into your document and choose SutonnyMJ, and it will display as Bangla.
How do I use Unicode Bangla in Photoshop or InDesign?
If your setup breaks Unicode Bangla conjuncts, convert the text to Bijoy here, paste it in, and apply SutonnyMJ. That is the usual workaround in press and DTP work.
Can I convert it back to Unicode later?
Yes. Click Swap: Bijoy → Unicode and the reverse converter opens with your output already filled in.
