How to use Convert image

Change an image's format when a site rejects WebP, when you need a smaller JPG, or when you want a lossless PNG. It opens JPG, PNG, WebP, GIF, BMP, AVIF and SVG, and saves as JPG, PNG or WebP. HEIC photos from iPhones open only in browsers that support them, such as Safari.

How do I convert WebP to JPG?

Add the WebP file, choose JPG as the output format and convert. Any transparent areas become white, since JPG cannot store transparency.

Can I convert iPhone HEIC photos?

Only in a browser that can open HEIC, which in practice means Safari. In Chrome or Firefox, set your iPhone to save photos as JPEG (Settings → Camera → Formats → Most Compatible) instead.

What happens to animated GIFs?

Only the first frame is kept, so you get a still image in the format you chose.
