How to use Add border

Frame a photo with a clean border for social posts, product shots or printing. Choose any colour, set the width with a slider or as an exact number of pixels, and optionally round the corners. The border is added around the image at full resolution, so nothing in the photo is cut off.

    Pick a colour and set the width, or type an exact width in px.

    Tick Rounded corners if you want them, then click Apply.

    Download the framed image.

Add border: common questions

Does the border cover part of my photo?

No. The border is added outside the image, so the final picture is larger by twice the border width on each side.

Can I add a white border for Instagram?

Yes. Set the colour to white and pick a width. The border is the same on all four sides.

What format is the result saved in?

The same format as your original. With rounded corners on, it is saved as PNG so the corners stay transparent.
